How to submit a good-faith copyright complaint or respond to one involving FreeFileFast-controlled material.
Respect for copyright
Users must have the legal right and any required permission to process their files. FreeFileFast does not provide third-party media downloading and must not be used to bypass access controls or copy protection.
No hosted user-file library
FreeFileFast processes selected files locally in the user's browser. It does not intentionally upload or host those files, and it generally cannot inspect, retrieve, remove, or identify a file that remains on a user's device. A complaint should identify material or functionality that FreeFileFast controls and publishes, such as a public webpage, application asset, or repository-controlled description.
Submitting a good-faith complaint
Send a copyright complaint to support@freefilefast.comwith "Copyright complaint" in the subject. A useful complaint should include:
- identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list when multiple works are involved;
- the exact FreeFileFast URL and a clear description of the material claimed to infringe;
- your name, email address, and a reliable way to contact you;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the rightsholder, its agent, or law;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rightsholder or authorized to act for the rightsholder; and
- a physical or electronic signature.
FreeFileFast may request clarification and may remove, disable, or correct material it controls when appropriate. Knowingly false or misleading claims may have legal consequences.
Responses and counter-notices
If FreeFileFast removes or disables controlled material because of a complaint, the affected provider of that material may be notified and, where applicable, may submit a counter-notice. A counter-notice should identify the affected material and prior location, explain in good faith why removal or disabling resulted from mistake or misidentification, provide reliable contact information, include the statements required by applicable law, and include a physical or electronic signature.
Requirements and remedies vary by jurisdiction. FreeFileFast may seek additional information or professional guidance before acting. This page does not claim that FreeFileFast maintains a registered DMCA agent or postal notice address.
